Turn Back

It feels like a shame to turn around after coming so far. Oh well, what other option do you have? You start back down the spiral stairs. After a few turns down the spiral, you reach the roughest patch of crumbling steps.

You decide to try and bypass the trouble spot altogether by simply jumping over it. That's much more doable now that you're going down. You take a step back and launch.

You land hard, but you stay stable. Nice. A moment later, you hear a tremendous "crack!" that echoes down the mineshaft. Oh hell. The entire section of stairs you're on just shifted down an inch or two. Ohhhhh no. As soon as you move a muscle, the section of stairs slips away from the wall. The fall is a long one - you have a few moments to regret your decisions up until this point. Unfortunately for you, you eventually land. You die!

Try again?
